After some excited chattering between the Euro Airdot Con and the Alpha Romeo Tango manager, we’ve decided that we’d like to give it one last shot at a reprint of our collaborative Cabin Pressure Artbook!
Ideally, we’d the EAC team would love to be able to offer copies of the book in Milan for the con, as both prizes and for general sale. However, the success of this reprint depends entirely on how much interest we get: in short, we have a minimum amount that would make a reprint financially viable, and it is because of this that there is a very small possibility that the reprint won’t be able to go ahead. In this case, we can promise that anyone who pre-orders a book will get 100% of their money back via Paypal, as we don’t part with any money until we order copies of the book.
In order to help us reach our goal quicker, we’re also offering two new Arthur Shappey stickers with pre-orders, donated by evaholderart!
Please help us by spreading the word, or by pre-ordering a copy here.
I expected a “see me” of some kind in response to this - Ian’s been doing a photoshoot for a nekkid calendar!
"West End Bares" is run by the Make a Difference Trust, a charity supporting members of the entertainment industry living with HIV and AIDS. Each year they do a charity calendar with various artfully taken shots of the casts of West End shows wearing not-very-much, this is the 2013 one as an example.
I guess we know what calendar is going to be on Mark’s office wall next year… ;D
Maybe Mark’s “see me” response will simply be participating next year? ;)
Rupert Graves as Eddy the editor in Rag Tale (2005):
"I suppose any film about the press is about how you tell the truth and how many multi-facets of the truth you can spin and how flexible the truth is. Newspaper men are professional – they can’t lie a huge amount because they can get sued, but they are professional truth-twisters." (x)
The One Person that Mattered the Most
Based on the classic Mucha poster Zodiac, Grand Bazar and Nouvelles Galleries. Colored in Corel Painter. All of the type is names for the structures of the skull. Even the curling white decorative lines at the bottom are actually type (though it’s hard to see at this size). If all goes well, I’ll do posters for other Sherlock characters as well, each in the style of a classic art nouveau poster.
Prints are available here at my new redbubble account.

August Challenge: Two Sentences of Sherlock Every Day
My writer’s group has issued an August challenge to its members: write a two-sentence story every day and post it to the group tumblr. I thought this was the type of dare that Sherlock fans would enjoy too, so I set up a tumblr expressly for that purpose.
Here’s my challenge to all Sherlock fanfic writers. Write one two-sentence story each day for the month of August, and post it to the tumblr linked above using the ‘Submit a Fic’ box, or post it on your own. Or why not do both?
How short yet sweet can you make your writing? I’ve posted a few sample stories to get the challenge underway, and you’re welcome to join.
